Joining Single Booklovers is easy and fun!
Membership details are explained below:
Each prospective member is asked to fill out a Personal Profile Sheet (click on"Join SBL" to see the Profile form). Our personal profile sheet has been carefully
constructed (forty years experience!) to illuminate your qualities and
interests. The profile will detail who you are, your favorite books and
authors, interests in the arts and culture, opinions on the world,
dreams and plans, what you are seeking in a date, mate, or friend.
Forward
your profile to SBL and, upon approval, and payment of the membership
fee, you will become a member of Single Booklovers.
We will
create a short sketch about you based on the information on your
Personal Profile. Any specific information you want included in your
sketch should be noted in the "Additional comments about yourself"
section of the Personal Profile.
Your sketch will appear on-line
in either the men's or women's section. You will be identified by member
number only-no names or contact information are posted. We believe this
respects your privacy and further controls who may see your personal
profile sheet. Your sketch will appear for 365 days a year for one year.
Single
Booklovers has never and will never reveal your personal information to
anyone other than Single Booklovers members in good standing.
Each
member can review the other sketches and determine if there is someone
who might interest them. They then simply contact SBL (mail, e-mail, or
phone) and request the full profile by member number.
SBL will promptly forward the complete profile(s) that you have requested.
Only
SBL members are eligible to request and receive Profiles. Of course,
other members will be requesting your profile too (by your preferred
method of contact)-so expect to be contacted by other members of the
group. The rest is up to you. Contact who you want to know more about.
Respond to those who have contacted you.
The only thing we ask is
that you acknowledge the contact. Single Booklovers believes in good
manners and good form. Treat others as you would expect to be treated.
Membership Fee:
A
One Year membership to SBL is $45. An exceptional value when you
consider the quality of the members of Single Booklovers. Profiles are
$2 each after your 2 free new member profiles.
Your profile will
stay posted for one year. If you want your profile removed-we will do
so. If you prefer to become "inactive" we will remove your profile, keep
it on file, and "activate" your profile when you choose.
You may create a new profile or make changes to your existing profile at no charge at any time.
